Authentication and Legalization of official documents

ALL DOCUMENTS (CERTIFICATES etc) ISSUED IN NIGERIA MUST BE DULY AUTHENTICATED BY THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, ABUJA BEFORE THEY CAN BE LEGALIZED BY THE EMBASSY.

 

A STAMP (SEAL) FROM RELEVANT AUTHORITIES IF GABONESE DOCUMENTS

  1. Birth certificates, Marriage certificates and Declaration of bachelor – or spinsterhood/Affidavit of single status.
  2. Documents issued in a foreign language should be translated into English by a sworn (official) translator before submission to the Consular Section of the Embassy for legalization and authentication.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • An application letter addressed to the Ambassador, Embassy of Nigeria, Libreville
  • Actual document to be legalized
  • Receipt/confirmation of payment
  • For the document ‘Marriage laws in Nigeria’, please contact the Consular Section of the Embassy.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHENTICATION OF DRIVER’S LICENSE:

  • An application letter addressed to the Ambassador, Embassy of Nigeria, Libreville
  • Actual license (original copy)
  • Copy of data page of international passport
  • Receipt/ confirmation of payment

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGALIZATION OF COMPANY DOCUMENTS:

  • An application letter addressed to the Ambassador, Embassy of Nigeria, LibrevillAGE DECLARATION: FEE: 5000FCFA
  • A written application letter.
  • A copy of the declarant’s identification from Nigeria valid or expired (i.e NIN, International passport, Voter’s card, driving license).
  • Application form (to be provided by the Embassy).

 LEGALIZATION: FEE: 5000FCFA

  • Original copy of the document to be legalized
  • 2 photocopies of the said document
  • Written application letter

 

FICHE INDIVIDUELLE: FEE: 10000FCFA

  • 2 copies of the applicant’s consular card
  • Written application letter

 

LAISSEZ-PASSER /ETC FOR DEPORTEES: NO FEE REQUIRED (GRATIS)

  • LAISSEZ-PASSER is issued by the Consular Officer following a deportation notice and necessary boarding documents provided by the Gabonese Immigration office. Detailed information about the deportees and their offences are equally provided by the said office.

 

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:FEE:10000FCFA

  • The concerned are to provide copies of their religious or traditional marriage
  • Written application letter
  • Copies of their international passports
  • 2 Passport photographs (each) of the couple
